• Anyone new to ISO 27001 implementation (no prerequisites)
• Managers and individual contributors who are responsible for preparing their organizations for ISO 27001 certification

What You’ll Learn:

• Understand ISO 27001 overall, including the key concepts and terminology
• Methods and requirements for certification, and build a timeline for your organization's key activities along the way
• Requirements explained in detail 
• Annex A Controls explained in general, including the use of ISO 27002:2022
• Methods for engaging all personnel in information security practices
• Methods for asset identification, risk assessment, and risk treatment
• Documentation: proven methods for streamlining process documentation and other information needed in an effective information security management system
• This course is based on DESARA's proven implementation model and on best practices of high-performing organizations

Note: Participants are required to bring a copy of ISO 27001 and 27002

Virtual Instructor-Led Training:

• Class meets remotely in three 2-hour sessions per day for 3 days (Camera, voice, and screen sharing) In addition, individual and group assignments will take up to 2 hours each day.
• The program is highly participative, including individual and group exercises to practice skills
• Small groups: Maximum class size of 15 supports full engagement
• Private classes are customized for your environment. The nine 2-hour modules can be scheduled based on your needs and can be spread over three days to three weeks.
• Note: This course is appropriate for small organizations and for 1-3 people from an organization to get initial familiarity with ISO 27001 requirements. Once committed to implementation, organizations should consider on-site training for their full implementation core team.
